FACT
It was effectively RUSSIA THAT DEFEATED HITLERS NAZIS IN WW2 NOT HOLLYWOOD OR oxymoron UK!
It was Russians who suffered deaths on a scale not told approx 27 millions ,
Russian pows were murdered at a rate of around 80%, compared to allies 5% = It was Russians who suffered most not Jews or any other no matter Steven Spielbergs selective camera.
It is to Russia we owe our freedom from past extremes.
RTE reports The Russian Ambassador to Ireland has told the Russian people on Russia TV - how Ireland is at the forefront of Russiaphobia and that children of people thought of as Russian are being bullied at school.
Sadly I don't doubt the claims of some children bullying going on.
Ignorant loud mouth parents, possibly some ignorant teachers not teaching world news sensitively.
I really hope no one Russian feels they are being bullied in Ireland in any way.
We Irish must not allow any children to be bullied in any way.
Russian people in Ireland must know this, that real Irish people will stand with you against this Russiaphobia, no one especially but especially children must be made a victim in any way in Ireland.
Who is doing this bullying? if you see any hate messages calling all Russians this or that or your child complains of any discrimination, make a complaint to Joe Duffy on RTE and to the Garda, try and get the name of the person spreading race hate, even if it is a teacher.
Is it really mostly Irish people doing the bullying and vandalism? or is it the children of other eastern europeans who came to find a job here,. telling other how to live and discriminate? hard to know by these videos, but most of these do not seem to be Irish people.
Either way, behave two wrongs do not make a right, no interest in the whataboutery from anyone, no excuses.
Bullying and Russiaphobia is totally wrong, no excuses.
Like blaming all the british or even more ignorantly blaming specifically or just the english for past wrongs in Ireland, or as some of the british did blaming all Irish when they felt threatened.
