What kinds of music do you like?

As i sit here listing to "Blackwater" by the Doobie Brothers I realize that I have pretty diverse tastes in music. I enjoy amost everything, except rap. I feel that rap music promotes ignorance, selfishness and violence, but that's my opinion. My favorite band is Flogging Molly, they play what is referred to as "celtic punk", it's a lot of traditional Irish instuments and arrangements with a rock and roll sound. I love the Pogues, Shane McGowan is one of my heroes, Smashing Pumpkins is another favorite (they split, but are now getting back together). I also like a lot of heavy metal, anything from Iron Maiden to newer stuff like Disturbed, Fear Factory or Mudvayne. I like punk a lot, bands like the Ramones, Green Day, Rancid, Street Dogs, and the Dropkick Murphys. I like traditional Celtic music, i love the sound of bagpipes and drums. I also like a bit of country, mostly female country singers. Sara Evans in my personal fave (i have a huge crush on her, shhhh, don't tell nat, lol!!) and I like Faith Hill too.
I pretty much like any music that sounds powerful and makes you feel something. I like to use my music for either an indulgence of a mood or an escape from it.
