Sceala Irish Craic Forum Discussion:     Michael D Higgins the new President of Ireland
Too late to influence anyone ... my intention.
I have kept away from the attacks on candidates ...and personal life scrutiny.
Ireland is in such a poor economic state ...I fail to see the relevance.
Anyway Michael Higgins is a good man ... he is older than most and physically on the small side ....again I fail to see the relevance in the negative sense.

Michael D. Higgins promised he would be a neutral president if elected and not be a "handmaiden" to the government.
I believed him, because of his past record ....so I voted for him.
Michael D Higgins will be a honorable President of Ireland ...and worthy winner.

I hope I am not jinxing ....I really don't think so.
