What is Enda Kenny going to do when he gets the results of the banks stress tests. Hope he is brave enough to declare us bankrupt.
The markets await the news of Irish bank stress tests.
The full extent of financial troubles with the Irish banks will be detailed late this afternoon.
Irish Bank 'Stress Tests' To Be Published
Trading in the Bank of Ireland and AIB has now been suspended for 24 hours.
The move comes ahead of the publication of crucial stress tests today by the government.
It is believed the Bank of Ireland would need around €5bn, and EBS around €1bn.
The future policy could result in two strong institutions, the AIB and Bank of Ireland - made up of parts of smaller banks.
After the stress test results have been published, the European Commission, and the ECB are expected to issue a formal response.

These two and especially Lenihan are to blame for this. It was Lenihan who decided to 100% guarantee the banks. Even today he finds it humorous that Irish people should question him.
Did you see him laughing recalling the height of the problem, when the European Central Bank man could not get him on the phone. Lenihan laughing and joking as he recalls he was at the races.

When you see him act like that, finding humor in it, it is sickening. Lenihan has caused so much misery in Ireland, even to the as yet unborn Irish.
Many people are at fault for allowing the Irish banks mess to happen, Bertie and the banks, but is was Lenihan who called the insane guarantee. He never had to. Cowen the useless incoherent oaf who gave the rubber stamp. They betrayed Ireland, acted like EU glove puppets.
Anglo Irish bank should never have been saved, it was not a high street Irish bank.
Corruption broke the private bank, then corruption once again covered up and made the Irish tax payer pay.
We do not want stress tests, we want those who stole money by white collar means to face the law like any other criminal.
