Sceala Irish Craic Forum Discussion:     What did McCoist say to Neil Lennon

Celtic chief hits back at Scottish FA

Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell has hit back at his Scottish FA counterpart Stewart Regan for including Hoops players in his statement condemning the chaotic Old Firm Scottish Cup fifth-round replay at Parkhead last night.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon and Rangers assistant manager Ally McCoist clashed at the end of an ill-tempered game in which the home side won 1-0 with a Mark Wilson goal.

Confirming that an investigation would take place, Regan described the behaviour witnessed at Celtic Park as 'inflammatory and irresponsible' while claiming that 'last night's actions - which culminated in three red cards and 13 cautions in total - also re-emphasised the ongoing lack of respect for our match official'.
However, Lawwell was furious at his players being implicated and exonerated Lennon.
'Stewart Regan, Chief Executive of the SFA, has issued a statement this morning and while we will clearly co-operate fully with any SFA investigation, we must take issue with elements of Stewart's statement,' he told the club's official website.
'My prime concern is Celtic and I can only comment on our club. However, I believe that events should be put into some perspective.
'Celtic had three players booked last night. To put this in the context of other matches, St Johnstone last night received two bookings in their match against Aberdeen, while Motherwell received five bookings against Celtic last Sunday.
'Contrary to Stewart's statement I do not think that our players showed a lack of respect to officials.'
He added: 'Neil has made a statement in terms of the incident with Ally McCoist and I believe they met after the match.
'While I understand that this will be part of the SFA investigation, I know that both Neil and Ally have moved on from this in the correct manner.'

At the final whistle Neil Lennon is clearly shown in good spirits, as he would be - Celtic just beat rangers again. Neil lennon is clearly shown walking to Ally McCoist with a positive body language, open gesture and a open palm to shake hands. McCoist clearly said something out of order, it was McCoist who was looking to start the silly verbals off.
Scottish media and Police are anti Irish, encourage anti Irish racism.
Is Lennon unfairly singled out?

Undoubtedly says Ronnie Cully
The only person getting a harder ride than Neil Lennon at the moment is Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.
The Celtic manager is facing a barrage of accusations coming at him from all quarters, the vast majority of which carry no signature nor substance.
The SFA, the police and even the Scottish Government have been quick to go public with their intention to investigate the events of last midweek and Lennon’s part in them.
Yet, surely Lennon is entitled to ask why these same bodies did not act so readily when he and two of his players were being sent bullets in the post.
Likewise, surely the most recent death threats to Lennon, and the nail-bomb intercepted in Saltcoats, should invoke more of a public outcry than how he might have behaved at the side of a football pitch?

Rangers FC actions speak for themsleves.
Rangers have been comprehensively beaten by Neil lennon's Celtic. Played 6 games, only losing the first game of the series, Celtic have gone on to win 4 of them and drawn 1 (this when Celtic were down to 10 men.)
Martin Bain of rangers has been content to defend the disgraceful actions of his team. Bain attempted to deflect blame back to Celtic, not once has this little man or anyone at Rangers come out to condemn the threats against Neil lennon or other Celtic players and fans.

Update on Neil Lennon threats
Apparently Rangers boss Bain made this token remark at this weeks so-called Old Firm summit meeting, held at St Andrew's House, in Edinburgh.
When Bain was directly asked by reporters for his thoughts on Rangers fans terror threats against Celtic Manager Neil Lennon!
The Rangers chief executive, Martin Bain, when asked if he had sympathy for the Celtic manager, who has received death threats and live bullets in the post: replied “I would be uncomfortable with anyone in society receiving such threats and messages, so yes.”

What a joke of a reply by Bain, that is not condemning threats made by fans of the club he is the boss of, ultimately responsible for.
Would the Celtic management ever act like Martin Bain and the Rangers management team.
Can anyone honestly state that Celtic would ever behave in such a disgraceful manner as Rangers and Bain.
If these threats were aimed at any Rangers manager. If the rangers manager had been sent bullets, death threats and fake parcel bombs. If websites affiliated to Celtic fans were making threats and targeting Ally McCoist.
Does anyone seriously believe that months on, Celtic would be silent. Would the Celtic board and management, not only remain silent, say nothing in condemnation. Would Celtic actually encourage more hate and threats by attempting to deflect blame. Would the vast majority of celtic fans remain silent. Would excuse it, or try cheap deflection. Everyone who knows Neil Lennon and who is not a closed minded Rangers fan, would know that if this campaign of terror was reversed and aimed at McCoist, Neil Lennon would be among the first to condemn the terror campaign against Ally McCoist.

Good to read Lawell reaffirm the facts of the match and events.
"From our point of view we go back to last Wednesday, I congratulated my players in terms of their discipline and composure, I congratulated our supporters in terms of their positive and dynamic support of the team. In terms of the coach, Neil Lennon, Neil reacted to a particular situation - he didn't instigate it, he reacted to a particular situation - in a way he regrets. He very quickly apologised to the Celtic board and the matter is now closed."
Rangers silence.
No wonder that most Celtic fans will not accept that the mind games are only caused by a crazy unrepresentative fringe of Rangers support. The silence of Rangers the club encourages the even crazier element.
We believe that Ally McCoist went out of his way to try and stir trouble. He was shown on tv whispering before and after kick off.
McCoist knows the only chance they have is dirty tricks, that is why he personally has said nothing, no public support to Neil Lennon, or offered apology for his own disgraceful rant and rage.
Disgrace.

What did McCoist say to Neil Lennon?
McCoist was shown up live on Sky sports to be a sneaky wee man, he clearly said something out of order to Neil Lennon before and after kick off.
McCoist and rangers are hurting, because Neil Lennon and Celtic have owned them in head to head matches. This was McCoist reverting to childrens games in attempt at trying to deflect Neil Lennon and Celtic from playing football.
Did not work last night and hopefully will not ever work.

Walt's apprentice McCoist is already targeting suitable ranger signings for next season. These two stars for all the wrong reasons could be wanted by Mccoist, they will fit straight into the rangers ethos.

Update rangers have already signed the sewer rat player no other club in Britain would touch.

Fallout headlines from mccoist sneaky mind games

Fatty mccoist wanting a fight, talking the hard man, it does not get much funnier than that in football.

Scottish media and society is so biased, was there anything like the fuss over this out of control rage by the cardigan. Far more rage and out of control than Neil Lennon. It looks as though the Cardigan never even had Mixu whisper something in his ear to start him off.
We can't ask what did Mixu say to the Cardigan.
We still want to know what did McCoist say to Neil Lennon.

The Scottish Walt Disney do that sort of thing myth

Just look at the two footed karate style challenge. It is a straight red anywhere in the world. But Walter smith is unhappy with his player getting a red card and goes crazy. The cardigan even pushes a fourth official out of the way. The impartial can see Walters own behavior above as rangers manager, was far worse than Neil Lennon's above.
When even George Galloway starts reporting Neil Lennon's behavior as so uniquely bad, states Walter would not do such a thing, then you know just how ingrained and persistent the anti-Neil Lennon and anti-Celtic-Irish bias of much of the Scottish media.
How sad it is to also witness how the members of the Scottish Police all make to Mixu, not even a genuine attempt to calm down the Crazed sir Walter of Cardigan.

We want George Galloway to do his job properly, and ask McCoist what did he say to Neil Lennon.

Update 16/03/2011
Celtic and SFA at odds over Neil Lennon ban
Neil Lennon the Celtic boss has chosen not to contest the four-match ban imposed for his recent ugly clash with Rangers assistant manager Ally McCoist.
And Celtic say the penalty will run concurrently with his existing four-match suspension.
However, the SFA insist their intention was to double Lennon's punishment.
The BBC claim tonight that a spokesman (unnamed) for the governing body told them as much but there has been no official response.
The BBC are known for regurgitating Celtic FC news when not inventing stories about Celtic FC.

The facts are different, as yet the SFA have made no comment. One fascinating detail of any argument of the fine print is the Celtic director Eric Riley currently serves as vice-chairman of the SFA's Disciplinary Committee. The body which has responsibility for rules and regulations in this case.

In relation to Lennon's latest suspension, Celtic FC released a statement, saying: "Neil and the club have decided, in the wider interests of the club and Scottish football, not to appeal against the imposition of the ban.
"In accordance with the SFA's disciplinary procedures and the SFA's original intimation of the ban issued on 9 March, Neil will be serving this suspension concurrently with his existing suspension.
"He will therefore not be in the dugout for the four Celtic first team matches from and including the game against Inverness Caledonian Thistle this evening."

Rangers did submit an appeal against the two-match touchline ban received by McCoist following his touchline altercation with Lennon at the end of the volatile Scottish Cup replay at Celtic Park on 2 March.

So now the SFA can finally get to the truth.
What did McCoist say to Neil Lennon

Update on McCoist hearing.

McCoist let completely off by the SFA.
The same SFA who last month complained that they had to spend a lot of SFA money trying to ensure that Celtic manager Neil Lennon faced sanctions.
The SFA do not have Double standards! they have two standards - one for the SPL and a seperate Masonic lodge set of relaxed rules for rangers.
