Killarney has won a cross-border environmental competition to take the title of Ireland's Best Kept Town 2007.
Loughall in County Armagh was named Ireland's Best Kept Town at a ceremony in Belfast this afternoon. It also took the honours for Best Kept Village in the awards organised by the Department of the Environment and the the north of Ireland Amenity Council.
Westport in County Mayo was named Best Kept Small Town, while the Best Kept Large Town award went to Killarney in County Kerry.
