THE MONKS' WALK St. Brigid, walk a ways with me Your hand upon my arm Your presense gives me hope and faith Your fire my spirit warms Generations pass and fade Life takes many a turn St. Brigid, walk a ways with me There is so much I must learn The spiral staircase led me here To the monk's walk high above To your cathedral built on faith By your followers filled with love May your spirit flame eternal For all men on earth to see I am troubled, dear St. Brigid Won't you walk a ways with me?
