looks like another Coggalbeg type Bronze Age Gold hoard find. Thankfully local people found it and stopped others taking it and selling it abroad or even on ebay, which has been happening recently in Ireland.
Anyone who takes or damages on purpose what is owned by the Irish people should be imprisoned or deported if not Irish, destroying cultural artefacts should be made an even more serious crime.
Since Ireland has allowed mass immigration notice so many ignoring Irelands laws and treating our monuments as treasure opportunites. metal detectorists for example should be made to register and pay to do their supposed harmless hobby.
Theft of what is owned by the Irish nation is their aim.

Prehistoric gold artefacts discovered in Co Donegal

The National Museum of Ireland has received a report of the discovery of significant artefacts in Co Donegal, which appear to date from the Bronze Age.

Experts from the National Museum have travelled to the site where the artefacts were discovered.

Gold rings that were recovered are said to be "arm-sized" and the find is being described as "very significant".

The items were removed from the site and are being transferred to the National Museum of Ireland, where they will be put on display when further investigations are concluded.

"The National Museum of Ireland is delighted by the news of this exciting find," according to Lynn Scarff, the Director of the National Museum of Ireland.

"The Museum would like to recognise the co-operation of the finders and the local community in Donegal.

"We would also like to acknowledge our colleagues at the Donegal County Museum for their collaboration and assistance with this discovery, and look forward to working closely with them in relation to this find over the coming months."
