Celtic Fans jailed as Dutch undercover thug Police

I am not a fan of soccer hooligans.
They are commonly cowardly thugs, who use violence like mad dogs. Generally the hooligans are not even interested in soccer.

But Celtic fans have no general reputation for this thug behavior, on the contrary Celtic fans have won EUFA awards for the best fans.

Unlike the thug Dutch Police, who do have a reputation.

These examples are comments from a previous and different group of visiting soccer fans who were also beaten up by the thug dutch police.

"Im an ajax fan and i feel sorry for the steaua fans, the police are bastards who need to be hit with batons themselves. A.C.A.B.!"

"If this happened back in the UK there would be a huge public outcry about police brutality but I have lived in the Netherlands long enough to know that 1.The Dutch people will always defend their police force, be it kicking a homeless guy without reason or hitting "foreigners" with sticks. 2. The Dutch will always defend anything Dutch over anyone foreign! Then they teach their kids in school that they are open minded just cause they're Dutch and they go about preaching! hypocritical xenophobes!"

Unbelievable that Holland calls these thugs Police.
Celtic fans jailed, if they really did crimes then that is their fault, however if someone dressed casually just starts attacking you violently in the street, and you defend yourself by giving them more back, that is not simple thuggery, that is self defense.
Especially when there is more than one attacking you like these coward thug dutch police.

The evidence of thuggery and cowardice by these dutch undercover so called Police, is clear for all to witness.

FOLLOWING the court proceedings yesterday (Thursday) in Amsterdam, the club has issued the following statement.

'Clearly we are fully aware of events yesterday in Amsterdam. Celtic has always said it does not condone any form of violent or offensive behaviour. If any person connected to Celtic FC is identified as being involved in such behaviour, then clearly we would always take the appropriate action.

However, it is very important that the legal process is allowed to run its course and therefore we cannot make any further comment on these specific cases until any appeals have been heard and this process is complete.

As we have also stressed before, it is very clear that events in Amsterdam have raised a number of questions. Separately, therefore, the Club can confirm that it is continuing to work on behalf of our supporters with our Dutch legal representative in relation to supporters’ complaints.

We have received numerous written complaints from fans regarding their treatment in Amsterdam and the lawyer we have engaged is currently reviewing these in order to assess whether they can be taken further through the legal system in Holland. We believe these to be credible complaints, with substance and therefore deserve further investigation.

We would like to re-iterate that the Club is proud of the fantastic reputation which our supporters have earned. It is a reputation which we cherish and we will do all we can to ensure that this is protected.'
