It has not been very fair at all so far.
The state machine is clearly instructing the media in a most blatant attempt to fix the President election.
The state is obviously running scared of the prospect of change and open democracy.
Alan Shatter and Phil Hogan, both coming out to specifically target one candidate is cowardly, unfair and undemocratic.
Enda Kenny all of a sudden instructing his members not to block council votes. Coincidence or really a born again democrat.
RTE giving so much air time to David Norris is nothing less than a disgrace, we pay a license fee and expect fair play.
Last week was the third occasion just this year that RTE have provided special prime air time for Norris. RTE have promoted Norris, who for whatever reason is their favored candidate. Disgraceful behavior expected more from a South American state controlled TV.

As a protective Mother and Grandmother who has always respected the law and detested any form of child abuse. I was expecting David Norris to be investigated by the authorities for his inappropriate conduct at the very least.
Norris can not excuse what he did, he has been proven guilty by his own black and white letters, to have abused public office for his own gain. Writing letters on state paper to get clemency for his gay partner, who was convicted of raping a child.

There has been zero investigation into those disgraceful letters made by Norris on state paper.
Norris was waffling through his back teeth on the Late Late and Ryan Tubridy just let him off the hook on the one direct question asked.
He was trying to get clemency for a child rapist. He was allowed to waffle on without shame.
RTE promotes him!

How perverse that these Ministers have said nothing about Norris abusing Irish public office for a foreign child rapist. They are not at all shy coming out specially in public to try and scare people from voting for McGuinness.
Like McGuinness or not, he has achieved more in Ireland than the rest of those over paid windbags all put together.

I was recently reminded that Mandella was a terrorist, a convicted terrorist. Mandella just like McGuinness turn to physical resistance was encouraged by a corrupt state. Their motives was reactive and understandable, and never based on simple hate.
Has RTE and Fine Gael forgotten the admission by David Cameron that the British state murdered innocents in Derry.
Even the journalist Eamon McCann has stated that the anger of the community against the British army who carried out the mass murder of innocent people on Bloody Sunday, that everyone was ready to volunteer for the IRA.
That Tony Blair in his autobiography stated Britain's mistakes that caused war in Northern Ireland. Tony Blair told us that he had a very strong relationship with Martin McGuinness, and admitted he came to like him greatly. "Over time I came to like him greatly, probably more than I should have, if truth be told."
McGuinness has risked his life for his community and the cause of peace for all. Ireland knows this is true of McGuinness, we all witnessed him working as a peacemaker alongside extremists Ian Paisley and his successor Peter Robinson.
Likewise few can credibly look at Paisley or Robinson as terrorists anymore, as we once did.
The British army were also using Terrorism, and they are currently backing the use of terror in Libya.

Fine Gael and RTE are not playing sensibly or fair with Ireland. They are treating us like children, children they think they can shape into their mould. Very upset at the level of control attempted by the state. It is time for a real change, the establishment is very corrupt and we all know it is.
How dare they treat us like fools again. These are the same people who have done nothing about the corrupt bankers that have destroyed the hopes of generations.

I will be voting for Michael D, I personally know his fine qualities and admire him. I will now be giving my 2nd preference to Martin McGuinness.
State control of RTE in the Ireland in the President election must not be allowed to work.
RTE and the Governments attempt to control have failed for me and every one of my family and friends.
