What do you think of Graham Souness on RTE.
RTE had to apologize for the offensive language used by Graham Souness.
Graham Souness described someone not playing well as getting raped. Graham Souness says sorry as soon as he realizes what he has just said, but what sort of man uses that type of language. That sort of language in context of day time viewing, could be used, even in error, only by the most ignorant of people.
I do not understand why RTE ever contracted Graham Souness in the first instance. Graham Souness is so biased towards England in internationals and English teams in Europe. Maybe I am being unduly intolerant as a Man U fan that does not favour Liverpool. Not so, Dietmar Hamann also on the RTE panel, also ex-Liverpool, is really good, he makes good sense and is a quality presenter. This is just one of many personal complaints against Graham Souness on the RTE soccer panel.
I am not happy with my license fee going towards the very biased Graham Souness. He obviously needs to earn his big fees, but we do not need him. http://www.football.co.uk/liverpool/daniel_king-_ex-liverpool_and_newcastle_boss_graeme_souness_joins_harry_redknapp_in_sandbanks_rss553991.shtml
Graham Souness is so biased to England and English sides that he is a embarrassment to sports commentary. English people would not welcome any Irish person coming over to the BBC and constantly presenting their bias opinions on Ireland and Irish teams, and why should they.
Just when we had all thought that the RTE soccer panel had hit a new low, the poor quality continued.
At the start of the second half, Trevor Steven, another English import, was asked his thoughts on the last British and Irish lions tour of South Africa. Trevor Steven replied about the British lions, not the British and Irish lions, just the British lions.
Trevor Steven is supposed to be professional, he is paid a lot of money in Ireland by RTE, his ignorance or arrogance needs to be questioned.
Do the Irish TV license payers really need to import ignorance and pay top dollar.

It is not as if we do not have enough of our own home-grown ignorance.
Japan play Cameroon.
Johnny Giles on RTE is asked for his thoughts on Japan in today's match. Johnny Giles replies that he has to be honest, he states that has not got a clue about Japans chances. Johnny Giles states that he has not seen Japan play for four years. Johnny Giles can only provides us with his stereotype and imagined Japanese team, seemingly based upon Industry.
Honesty can be refreshing, sometimes, but when RTE are paying top wages in our society of so many unemployed people, this form of honesty makes the proverbial parrot sick.
