Do you think the so called credit crunch will effect Santa , in some ways wish it would , put a stop to children being spoilt and its not there fault ..its the parents , trying to give them what we didnt have and forgeting we were happy with whatever we got , it was all about family . Going to Mass on Christmas morning or even midnight Mass ...I loved that ...we never had much but seemed like it was a majic day ...wee baby Jesus was born and we got gifts and a nice dinner and everyone was smileing and happy , I as a child never knew how near Christmas was until maybe the day before Christmas eve ...there was no great annoncment apart from advent songs in the chaple , that made me think its not far of never knew for certain what night it was until seen a candle being lit in the window ...then we knew , was wakend by hearing my Dad up for Mass ..and the turkey was well in the oven slow cooking ..I got up and asked has Santa been Dad ..he smiled and said yes ...but be quite hes just left ..near caught his whiskers ..there was a dolly for me ...and some sweets ...didnt even touch them ..for wanted to go to Mass with my Dad ..we silently left the house and walked in pitch darkness to Mass , and when we returned the house was just comeing to life , my Mum and the brothers then went to mass ...my Dad and I peeled spuds and all the veggies , and only then I held my Gift from Santa , before long we were all together my Mum and my brothers , as usual the fighting between us children started ...let me play with your toy ..or stop eating my sweets ...and suppose like all parents they longed for bed time where children didnt drive them mad .
