Operation Transformation is a 360-degree project encompassing The Web, Radio & TV.
The Gerry Ryan Radio Show did a nationwide search for six people who have very genuine reasons why they need Operation Transformation to help them lose weight and get fit. Once selected our team of three experts, a dietitian, a fitness instructor and a physiologist developed an eight-week programme for the six participants. Each day of the eight weeks is mapped out for each individual in terms of a detailed diet and exercise routine.
The experts communicate their requirement with the six participants using the website developed for the event. Listeners to the Gerry Ryan Show and viewers are encouraged to follow everything on the web site including Daily diet sheets with recipes for the participants along with streamed video footage of the food being prepared. And Daily exercise plans with streamed video footage on how to do them. The website is at the heart of the programme and is the constant link between the TV and Radio production.

Each programme broadcast at 8.30pm on RTÉ One will track the progress of the six participants and will include a weekly weigh in. Each week our team of experts will set targets for the participants to achieve over the eight weeks.
