Where I live , lent is still practiced , you see the men in the pub giveing up the drink for six weeks almomst , im glad in a way this is still a special time , we had the barmaid saying im giveing up sex with priests , was laughed at then dismissed , we all know its a private thing with us and how we view our religion, I sometimes think those of us or Irish parents who had to leave , are maybe more reverent , not one person in that pub , denied doing there duty , im not a holy than thou , but during lent part of me feels the need to try harder ...to be better , I think its the little things that matter , maybe being nice when you feel like telling someone to go to hell .
