Serenety

Location: Carson, Washington

As you all know, I drive transit bus here in Washington State.

A passenger of mine gave me this poem that was written by her niece. Andrea Leigh Brown. She lives in Keller Texas, but is visiting for a few weeks. The young lass is fifteen years old.

I was impressed with it, hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Serenety

Serenty the lunar bird
With stars upon her wings

And the old Egyptian scarab heard
that lovely bird that sings

But on a distant mountain
Is a foe that steals her song

For in a sacred fountain
Is a spell lived for so long
And recites the foreign text

But something uninviting
is what really happens next

Serenty had found him
and ate his very soul

She knew the man was very grim
but forgiveness was not her goal

Her staff is made from purest glass
the jewel, a chromosone

And the invisible moon that sailors pass
is where she makes her home
