There has been a programme on recently, that shows how the Irish is today an academic language in Ireland; it also shows that for the vast majority of folks, it is not even that.
No matter the desire the reality is that Irish is a foreign language in Ireland; In opinion that I and many others mention before, at least half the problem is the nature of the enforced teaching. Have they not noticed yet! that that old way obviously did not work
Ye think I am riling ye when I tell ye about a pair of my cousins from Dublin, who on a visit complained about the Fecking Germans controlling the bar- I think I actually did pish myself that night and I am not one to laugh out loud.
